Penny J. Shutts

Penny Shutts, 49, of Belpre, Ohio went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, after a courageous fight against cancer. Penny was born May 2, 1962, in Parkersburg, W.Va. the daughter of the late William Lee Harvey, Sr. and Donna Jean Ruth Harvey. She was a loving wife and mother and wanted nothing more than to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She worked for Middleton Doll Factory for several years then moved on to work at Speedway on Farson Street in Belpre where she loved her job and made many friends.Penny is survived by her husband, Michael Shutts Sr.; sons, Michael Shutts Jr. and wife Jessica, and Tony Shutts and wife Jill; grandchildren, Alexis Shutts, Emma Shutts, Audriana Shutts and Owen Shutts all of Belpre; two sisters, Diane Smearman (Dave) and Molly Daugherty (Gary) all of Parkersburg; four brothers Steven Petty (Connie), Charles Harvey, and William Lee Harvey, Jr., all of Belpre, Ohio and Michael Harvey (Tammy) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Swisher.Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre, Ohio, with Bernie and Helen Paxton officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Friday until time of the services at the funeral home.Penny requested in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Riverview Credit Union, 403 Main Street, Belpre, Ohio, 45714 to help with the funeral costs. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
