A Video Tribute to Pearl is now available, the link is under her picture.Pearl Esther Johnson 73, of Vienna, W.Va. went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic.She was born April 20, 1941 in Ritchie County, W.Va., a daughter of the late William A. and Ruth Esther(Boston)Rutherford.Pearl was a graduate of Wood County Schools and she worked for the City of Vienna as Pool Manager and also volunteered for the Vienna Recreation. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, crochetting, needlepoint, reading and puzzles. She was a charter member of Calvary Memorial Church.She is survived by her husband, Richard S. Johnson; two daughters, Teri Hale of Marietta, Ohio and Amy Johnson of Vienna, W.Va.; one son, Scott Jarvis (Angie) also of Vienna; six brothers, Roy Rutherford of Parkersburg, W.Va., Billy, Bobby, John, Jim and Tom Gainer; one special sister, Lori Rutherford;grandchildren, Ashley Falkowski (Michael), Katie Schmidt, Alex Jarvis (Miranda), Kristin Schmidt, Adam Jarvis and Michael Maher; two great-grandchildren with two on the way, plus many nieces, nephews and beloved friends, especially Michael and Chrissy Learch.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck (Lori) Rutherford; and a daughter, Debbie Hughes.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va., with Pastors Rob Collins and Norm Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery in Parkersburg.Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour before the service on Saturday.Donations may be made to the Vienna Recreational and Improvement Assoc., 510 33rd. St., Vienna, WV 26105 in her memory.
