Patrick Dewitt Mcdonnell

Patrick Dewitt McDonnell Sr., 85, of Vienna, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019. He was born June 30, 1933 in Pike, Ritchie County, West Virginia, a son of the late Patrick Dorn and Lona B. Dye McDonnell. Patrick was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Medical Corps in Japan. He attended West Virginia University, was a home builder, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Vienna. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Goff-Pryor McDonnell; one son, Patrick D. McDonnell Jr. (Andrea) of Vienna; one daughter, Annette Gelbrich (Frank) St. Petersburg, Florida; one sister, Dwytha Jane McDonnell of Vienna; one brother, Dores Dewann McDonnell (Dianna) of Florida; a son-in-law, Robert Konz of Veto, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Christine Hawkins, Paula Konz, Alyssa Cantley, Peter Gelbrich, Anna DeSalvo, and Sarah and Lauren McDonnell; and several great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Konz; one grandson, Benjamin Konz; and two brothers, Maynard Dewayne McDonnell and Dores Dwight McDonnell. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral home, Vienna, with Edward Garrett officiating, burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery,with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post # 15 of Parkersburg. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
