Oval J. Barker Sr., 86, of Davisville, W.Va., passed away January 25, 2012 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born June 27, 1925, in Copen, Braxton County, W.Va., a son of the late Orval and Velma Kuhl Barker. Oval retired from Williamstown Fabricators and he enjoyed camping and traveling. He was a US Army veteran, having served in WWII and the European Theater. Surviving is his loving wife of sixty-four years, Sarah V. Rinehart Barker; one daughter, Beverly Rinard (Roger) of Rinard Mills, OH; two sons, David Barker (Patricia) and Timothy Barker, both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Barker of Davisville, W.Va.; one brother, Jack L. Barker of Williamstown, W.Va.; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Rita Barker of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother-in-law, Jack Jenkins also of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, O.J. Barker; one sister, Betty Jenkins; and one brother, Charles F. Barker. Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM Saturday January 28, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Rob Collins officiating and full military rites conducted by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8PM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
