Otus Michael Reed

Otus “Mike” Reed, 62, went to be with the LORD on September 22, 2011, after an extended illness at home.He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., son of the late Everett and Mary Reed. He was a 1967 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He then went on to be a member of the 90th Command Unit of the United States Air Force serving in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and in Vietnam. He was a member of the Burning Springs Masonic Lodge #132.Surviving are two daughters, Dr. Vickie (Robert) Cox of Vienna, W.Va. and Buffy (Scott) Sigley of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Everett J. Reed of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and one sister, Peggy (Albert) Baker of Proctorville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and multiple four legged grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary J. Reed.Otus and the family wish to personally thank Dr. Elizabeth Davies, Dr. John Beane, Dr. Hamarani, Dr. Godlewski, Tara at MOVMG, Dan and staff from Bond's Drug in Vienna for their kind and compassionate service over the years. Also a sincere and special thanks and blessings to all of our father's friends who have loved him and supported him throughout the years.Memorial services will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Jim Lynch officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
