Oral Bruce Richardson, Jr., 70, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away June 18, 2012 at his home. He was born July 25, 1941 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Oral Bruce Sr. and Evelyn Plymale Richardson. Bruce retired after thirty-eight years of employment as a pipe fitter and welder with Local Union 565 of Parkersburg. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and had a passion for playing pool. He also enjoyed reading, politics, and especially enjoyed the time he spent over the years coaching his son Richard in Little League Baseball. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his beloved cocker spaniel, Sophie. Surviving is his wife, Mary Karen Coffman Richardson, whom he married on July 25, 1993; daughter, Theresa Dugan (Brien) of Parkersburg; son, Richard Richardson (Tina) also of Parkersburg; former spouse and the mother of their children, Judith Richardson also of Parkersburg; step-daughter, Ashli Nicewarner (Ron) of Marietta; step-son, John Christopher Diamond (Heidi) of Parkersburg; three sisters, Christine Hefner (Bill) of NY, Oralee Archer of CO, and Virginia Carol Stone of TN; grandchildren, Shawn Dugan (Emily) of Parkersburg, Kaylynn Borenstein (Andrew) of Columbus, Tyler Richardson of Charlotte, NC, Richia Richardson of Parkersburg, Blair Swindells also of Parkersburg, Emma Tayler Petty and Jackson Petty, both of Marietta, and Brady Nicewarner and Kaya Nicewarner both also of Marietta; and great-grandchildren; Sophia and Lila Dugan of Parkersburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Joyce Runyon and Linda Raines Ertumen. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with Pastor Mark Eaton officiating.
