Opal G. Dyer

Dyer, 94, of Belpre, Ohio died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Camden Clark Medical Center.She was born in Rockland, Ohio on October 8, 1917 to the late Evert and Alta Darnold Leeson.She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Belpre and enjoyed spending time with her family and helped raise her grandchildren.She is survived by two sons, Ted (Carolyn) Dyer of Belpre, Ohio and Terry Dyer of Florida; four grandchildren, Mike Dotson, Moni (Dan) Tanner, Travis (Michelle) Dyer and Diane Dotson; six great-grandchildren, Mike, Cole, Kristen, Preston, Cortlynd and John (Lindsay); one great-great-granddaughter, London; one brother, Clyde Leeson of Florida; one sister, Garnet Howdyshell of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Dyer; and one daughter, Peggy Dotson.Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio, with Pastor David Hubbard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday.Memorial donations can be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church, 302 Maple Street, Belpre, Ohio 45714.
