Nina Marie Arthur

Nina Marie Arthur 84, formerly of Vienna, W.Va. passed away May 8, 2013 at the Willow's Center in Parkersburg.She was born February 4, 1929 in Auburn, W.Va. a daughter of the late Glen C. and Mayme Kemper Spurgeon. Nina was a graduate of the St. Joseph's School Of Nursing where she received her RN Degree. She formerly worked at St. Joseph's and Camden Clark Memorial Hospitals, and was a floor supervisor at Worthington Manor. She was a member of Vienna Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and canning.Nina is survived by two daughters, Janet Carlson (John) of Cross Lanes, W.Va., and Becky Murphy (Willie) of Vienna, W.Va.; four sons, Donald Arthur (Stephanie) of St. Augustine, Fl., Michael Arthur (Faith) of Vienna, W.Va., William Arthur (Debbie) of Bridgeport, W.Va. and Richard Arthur (Jan) of Fletcher, NC.; one sister, Ruth Logue of Arizona; thirteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren B. Arthur and one brother, Carl Spurgeon. Funeral services for Nina will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with John Carlson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 until time of services Friday.
