Neil Allen Myers, 71 of Davisville, W.Va. passed away February 25, 2012 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.He was born April 1, 1940 in Core, W.Va., a son of the late Stanley and Olive Neely Myers. Neil was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired after 33 years of service from E.I. DuPont. He was a member of the Kanawha United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Georgiana Radka Myers; three children, Ricky Allen (Christina) Myers of Vienna, W.Va., Timothy Neil (Heather) Myers of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Christy Dawn (Jay) Valvo of Landenberg, PA.; one sister, Karen (Wick) Cummins of Fairview, W.Va.; one brother, Larry (Carrie) Myers of Fairview, W.Va.; his mother-in-law, Elwanda (Fred) Perdew of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Hayley, Katie, and Justin Myers and James, Cody, and Nicolas Valvo.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Brian Todd Myers; and one granddaughter, Hannah Valvo.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, P2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Jamie Sprague officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
