Neal R. “Rod” Myers, 50, of Waverly, W.Va., passed away June 14, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, St. Josephs Campus following a brief illness.He was born April 22, 1961, in Parkersburg, W.Va., the son of the late William P. “Bill” and Theta D. Hopkins Myers. Rod was employed as an operator with Kraton Polymers. He was a true outdoorsman, having enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his farm. His most enjoyment came from his family; he loved spending time with his wife and sons. Surviving is his loving wife, Denise D. McDonald Myers; his children, Joshua and Luke Myers, both of Waverly, W.Va., and his step-sons, Frankie Lee of Ripley, W.Va., and Logan Rhodes also of Waverly, W.Va.; one brother, William G. “Bill” Myers and wife Melinda of Lubeck, W.Va.; one sister, Marsa C. Myers of Morgantown, W.Va.; one niece, Sarah Myers; one great-niece, Lillian Myers; and a host of friends.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, atLambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with the Rev. Sandy Runnion officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
