Murrel Bush McCoy, 98, formerly of Belpre, Ohio passed away Sept. 3, 2011, at Arcadia Nursing Center in Coolville, Ohio where she had resided for the past six years.Murrel was born Oct. 23, 1912, in Spencer, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles L. and Nancy A. Jarret Smith.Murrel was a registered nurse and graduated from Camden-Clark School of Nursing with the class of 1933. She attended Porterfield Baptist Church.She is survived by her children, Thomas Lee Bush (Fawn) of Austintown, Ohio, Nancy Jo Mullins (Clinton) of Ravenswood, W.Va., and Sondra Sue Carr (Wayne) of Stuart, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren; her stepchildren, Bernita Werner of Belpre, Ohio, Carolyn Ratliff (Carl) of Little Hocking, Ohio, Alice Shanks (Dick) of Coolville, Ohio, and Ron McCoy (Diane) of Belpre, Ohio; 16 step-grandchildren; and 19 step-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald F. Bush; her second husband, Howard V. McCoy; three brothers; two sisters; one grandson, Michael J. Miller; and a stepson, Steve McCoy.Funeral services for Murrel will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 WAshington Blvd. Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Mark Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Rockland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Arcadia Angels for their love and care.
