Mildred Reed, 83 of Belpre, Ohio went home to be with her Heavenly Father Dec. 4, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. Standing at the gate to welcome her home were her husband and son. She was born October 21, 1928 in Roane County, W.Va. to the late Lonnie and Mary Minnie Good Parker. She had worked at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital as a Nurse's Aid and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Temple in south Parkersburg.Mildred is survived by two daughters, Mary Beha (Ronald), and Patricia Swearingen (John) all of Walker W.Va.; two sons, Kester Reed of Carrolton, Ohio, and Wayne Reed of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one stepson, Larry Seese also of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Lucille Kirby of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Alice Darlene Harper of Canton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Reed who passed away Dec. 4, 2001; one son, Edward D. Reed; three brothers, Delmar Parker, Jennings Parker and Francis Parker; two sisters, Sybil Beaty, and Hazeline Hays; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Dobby Thrash officiating. Burial will follow at the Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
