Mildred I. Amos, 81 of Parkersburg, passed away April 22, 2013 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home.She was born July 31, 1931 a daughter of the late Harold and Ethel Lott. Mildred enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and loved visiting with her friends and family.She is survived by two daughters, Delores Amos, and Alma Warner; grandchildren, Tim Amos (Anika), Rodney Smith (Kendra), Chris Smith (Carrie), Miranda Buffington, and Shane Warner; nine great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Bartlett (Tom); a brother, Paul Lott (Marilyn); and three sister-in-laws, Alta Somerville, Pauline Lantz, and Nina Amos.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. “Jim” Amos; a daughter, Barbara; a sister, Mary Shirley; a brother, Herman Lott; grandson Stacy Warner; infant great-grandson, Shane Warner; and mother & father-in-law, William “Buss” and Leona Amos.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Everett Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Eagle Pointe, Kate Hasse and to Dr. Ernest Miller and staff for the care that was given to Mildred.
