Michael Harland Snider

Michael Harland Snider, 56, of Harrisville, W.Va. passed away on March 3, 2014 in Parkersburg, W.Va.He was born May 23, 1957, in Parkersburg, a son of Edith Epling Cumberledge of Elizabeth, W.Va. and the late Buck C. Snider.Mike was a graduate of Wirt County High School, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had worked at Linde Gas in Washington, W.Va. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed playing and coaching his sons and others about the sportsmanship of the game of basketball. He attended Cairo Baptist Church.Mike was a loving husband, father and grandpa and was a great mentor and taught great morals and values that influenced the lives of his children.He is survived by his mother; his wife of 14 years, Cheri Pindell Snider; his step-mother, Wanda Snider of Davisville, W.Va.; two sons, Adam Snider and Shane Snider, both of Harrisville, W.Va.; two brothers, Steve (Sue) Snider of Sandusky, Ohio and Mark (Mary) Snider of Elizabeth, W.Va.; and one grandson, Paxton Snider.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Jim Cumberledge.Funeral services will held 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Frank Vannoy officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
