Michael K. Brown

Michael K. Brown Sr., 58, of Parkersburg, W.Va., a loving husband, father and brother, passed away on July 15, 2011 at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.He was born May 5, 1953, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Stephen T. Brown Sr. and Betty Jean Brown Wilson.Michael was a graduate of Parkersburg High School with the class of 1971. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and especially enjoyed music and playing his guitar and singing. He loved spending time with his family and was a member of the Zion Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Erica J. Prall Brown; two daughters, Kristi Ramsey of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Allison Brown, age 16, of the home; one son, Michael Brown Jr., age 14, of the home; six sisters, Rhonda Brown, Cynthia Brown, Tamara Coleman, Leslie Dianne (Jimmy) Neal, Susan (Sim) Fryson, and Kimberly (Timothy) Wilkinson; one brother, Stephen T. (Andrea) Brown Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Zion Baptist Church, 8th and Clay St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Lisa Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12-noon until time of services. Donations will be appreciated to help offset funeral expenses.
