Mary Ann Dotson

Mary Ann Evans Dotson, 88, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away on August 19, 2013 at the Arcadia Nursing Home of Coolville, Ohio.She was born at Graham Station, W.Va., on March 30, 1925, a daughter of the late Juhling and Mary Otey Ohlinger and was raised by her adoptive parents,Guy O. and Mae N. Evans.She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, had worked at Dil's Department Store and was retired from the Wood County School System food services. Mary loved playing bingo and was a member of the Lynn Street Church Of Christ.She is survived by two sons, Samuel S. Dotson III (Melissa) of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Scott T. Dotson of Belpre, Ohio; two daughters, Connie Barr (Larry) of Belpre, Ohio and Carolyn Gourley of Little Hocking, Ohio.; eleven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel S. Dotson, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Teddy Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at the K of P Cemetery, Elizabeth, W.Va.Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
