Mary Geneva Corbitt

Mary Geneva “Jean” Corbitt, 90, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away May 25, 2012 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born October 13, 1921 in Pee Wee, Wirt Co., W.Va., a daughter of the late Pearl and Pansy Enoch Reeves. Jean was a homemaker and was also formerly employed in both the Camden-Clark and St. Joseph Hospitals. She enjoyed her church, going to the mall, and playing games once a week with her sisters. She also loved to read and was a member of Independent Baptist Church of Vienna. Surviving is one daughter, Jeane Hutton (Gene) of Vienna; daughter-in-law, Pat Corbitt of East Liverpool, Ohio; two sisters, Ethel Lockhart of Pettyville, W.Va., and Janice Foutty of Washington, W.Va.; two brothers, Wayne Reeves (Margaret) of Vienna, and Larry Reeves (Alice) of Mineral Wells; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Corbitt who passed away in June of 1995; her son, Richard Corbitt; one brother, Eugene Reeves; one sister, Dorothy Miller; and her great-grandson, Trevor Scott Hutton.Funeral services will be 2PM Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with Pastor Mike Elder, Pastor Bob May, and Pastor Bob Hutton officiating. Interment will follow at the Palestine Cemetery, Wirt County. The family will receive friends from 5-8PM on Saturday May 26, 2012 and one hour prior to services on Sunday at the funeral home.
