Frances Belt, 87 quietly left this earth for her heavenly home on April 13, 2012.Francis “Aunt Fran” was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on July 8, 1924. After living most of her life in Akron, Ohio, upon retirement she moved to Parkersburg, W.Va. to be near her remaining family. She outlived all the family of her generation, but will be missed by countless others of all ages who encountered and benefited from her sweet smile and warm disposition. Aunt Fran remained a vibrant and active person and was known to roller skate well into her 76th year. At age 82 she moved to the Cedar Grove Nursing Center and described it as the best years in her life. Quickly she became friends with residents and staff and they became her “adopted” family. Staff willingly obliged her request for Alan Jackson recordings up to the last days. She is survived and mourned by niece, Sharie Keith Baker; and nephews, Bill Keith, and Jim Keith; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews; and countless friends. There will be no visitation. However a brief graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens to celebrate her life and the joy she brought to all.
