Mary Kathryn Ball

Mary Kathryn “Kate” Ball, 88 of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Sept. 19, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.She was born August 12, 1925 in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Francis Hobart and Louise Samuels Taylor. She was a graduate of Belpre High School. In 1989 she retired from Camden Clark Hospital where she worked as an LPN. She was a member of the Family Fitness Center, the “Arthritis Club” and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church, Clara Edna Chapter of the Eastern Star, and Woodmen of the World.Kate is survived by a son, Charles W. Ball Jr. of Guysville, Ohio; a sister, Barbara Winters of Vienna, W.Va.; her beloved dog, Shadow; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Ball; a daughter, Susanna K. Ball'; two brothers, Edward J. and Francis H. Taylor; and a nephew, Richard Donovan Winters, Jr.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
