Mary Anderson

Mary Thorn Anderson, 89, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, W.Va.She was born February 16, 1924 in Ravenswood, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lawrence T. Thorn and Aubra Amos Thorn Jeffrey.Mary was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and West Virginia Wesleyan College. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Parkersburg. Mary was also a member of Parkersburg Junior League, the Vienna Chapter #151 Order Of Eastern Star and served as a volunteer and board member of the Parkersburg Day Nursery.She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carl Wallace Anderson; a daughter and son-in-law, Aubra Kay Connour and husband, Charles, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; and a son, Robert, of the home.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James H. Thorn. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W. Va. with Reverend Brent Sturm officiating.Internment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, W.Va.
