Martha Virginia Vincent, 89, of Parkersburg, W.Va. went home to be with her Lord on March 15, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born Feb. 11, 1924, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late George and Maysell Henline Rogers. Martha was married to the late Robert E. Vincent on Dec. 20, 1946. She had been a member of Lauckport Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. She retired from Dils Brothers Department Store. She is survived by two daughters, Sara Jacques (Daniel) of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Connie Phillips (Harold) of Washington, W.Va.; one son, Timothy Vincent of Parkersburg, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Michelle Goldsmith (Jay) of Washington, W.Va., Paula Jacques and fiance, Richard Rader, of Vienna, W.Va., Chad Phillips (ReNae) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Julie Clark (Nathan) of Roy, Utah, Amanda Delarosa of Lexington, Ky., and Alex Vincent and fiancee, Megan Smith, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Lenore Stout of Coshocton, Ohio; a special sister-in-law, Violet Bunner of Parkersburg, W.Va., who was like a sister; and many special friends. Martha was loved very deeply by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Vincent; a brother, Archie Rogers; sisters, Thelma Tomaro and Mildred Ball; and an infant brother and sister. A funeral service for Martha will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street,Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Randall Kochersperger officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, with full military honors by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
