Marjorie V. Scott

Marjorie V. Deeter Scott, 91, of Belpre died Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born in Hockingport, Ohio, a daughter of the late Levi H. and Nora Wires Deeter. She was a life-long resident of Belpre. She enjoyed her family, friends and was known for her wonderful cooking and baking. She was a caregiver to many family members and friends, especially her late husband, Charles Scott. She and her husband loved to square dance and travelled extensively competing and just having fun. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Joyce Scott; granddaughters, Dawn Sarringhausen and Molly Barack; eight great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Scott; son, Charles (Bucky) Scott II; granddaughters, Missi, Carrie and Wendy; brothers, Ernest, Roy and James Deeter; and sisters, Nona Biles, Lillian Taylor, Gertrude Ahart, Gladys Webb, Ada Bibbee and Laura Parsons. We will all miss her laugh and generous, kind spirit. In keeping with her wishes, her body was donated to science at WVU Human Gift Registry. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St. Parkersburg is assisting the family.
