Maria Gorizia Calagno

Maria (Mary) Calcagno, 96, of Vienna, W.Va., beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with the angels on Jesus' birthday. She passed peacefully in her sleep.Mary was born October 18, 1916 in Sparanise, Italy, the daughter of the late Giovanni and Rosaria Dama.She came to America in 1922 with her parents and five siblings, all of whom are deceased. Mary was married to Salvatore on September 9, 1938 and they were married many happy years until he passed in 1980.Mary is survived by three children, Teresa A. Lyons and her husband, Bernard, Joanne Beltran, and Salvatore Calcagno and his wife, Jane; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.In addition to her husband, Salvatore, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemarie; a son-in-law, Charles; and a grandson, Jason.A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 532 Market Street, Parkersburg, W.Va.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va.
