Margaret Annabelle Edwards, 81, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away April 14, 2011, at Ohio Valley Healthcare. She was born April 10, 1930, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Herbert B. and Alice Keenan Affolter.Margaret was a homemaker and was also a former employee of Corning and Montgomery Wards Department Store. She especially enjoyed gardening, cooking, and her family. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Lee Wentzel (Patrick) of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Janine Ann Pyles (Larry) of Washington, W.Va.; three sons, Mark Edwards (Susie) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Timothy L. Edwards (Sara) also of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Jeffrey L. Edwards (Caren) of Vienna, W.Va.; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Jean Cummings and Martha “Billie” Desmond, both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Henry “June” Edwards; her step-mother, Lucy Cooper Affolter; one infant grandson, Adam Francis Edwards; one granddaughter, Paula Angela Edwards; and one brother, Ralph Lee. Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Monday April 18, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
