Marc Schultz (Bob Jones)

Bob Jones, 64 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away peacefully on June 28, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born March 20, 1948 in Parkersburg a son of the late Conrad O. Jones Jr. and Betty Virginia Davis Jones. Bob was employed for 38 years at SW Resources, which his grandmother, Nelle Schultz was instrumental in founding. Bob enjoyed Camp Echo, his many friends, Beach Boys music, Big Time Wrestling and the International Special Olympics where he won a gold medal in 1989. He was also an avid fan of WVU and the Cleveland Browns. Bob also loved Parkersburg Catholic High School and PHS sports. Generations of kids who have attended these schools came to know, understand and love special needs children because of Bob's presence. Anyone who was privileged enough to know Bob has been blessed in their life. He will be dearly missed by many here, but the angels are rejoicing. Bob is survived by a sister, Theresa Sapp (Dan) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; five brothers, Jeff Jones (Sue) of Dublin, Ohio, Zack Jones (Tammy) of Vienna, W.Va., Greg Jones (Kathy) of Petroleum, W.Va., Matt Jones (Carla) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Tim Jones of Parkersburg, W.Va.; close family friend, Christie Crawford Jones of Vienna, W.Va.; nephews, Dylan, Cody and Bryan Sapp, Jeff Jones Jr. (Margo), Travis Jones (Kristi), Jordan Jones and Ben Jones; nieces, Heather Thomas (Dave), Beth Jones, Taylor Jones, Elizabeth Jones, and Tricia White (Angie); several great-nieces and great-nephews; also Bob's friend “Dave”; and his honorary grandparents, Bill and Helen West.Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Peterson as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with a Christian Wake service at 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to SW Resources, 1007 Mary St. Parkersburg, WV 26101
