Manuel C. Morgan

Manuel C. Morgan, 78, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away June 6, 2013 at his residence.He was born August 20, 1934 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Herbert and Leona Ware Morgan.Manuel graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1952. He served two years in the U.S. Army and was retired from the E.I. DuPont Company, Washington Works after 37 years of service.He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #3, the Royal Arch Masons and the Jerusalem Lodge #3 all of Parkersburg. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Parkersburg.Manuel is survived by a daughter, Deanna Morgan of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sons, Jeffrey Morgan (Linda) of Houston, Texas and Stephen Morgan (Kathryn) of Huntsville, Alabama; six grandchildren, Brendan Phelps, Kyla Phelps, Ryann Morgan, Tara Morgan, Caitlyn Morgan and Molly Morgan; and one sister, Wilda Pierce of Kalamazoo, Michigan.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, BettyLou Fluharty Morgan; three sisters, Zelma Williamson, Pauline Pearson and Juanita Dulin; and one brother, Clinton Morgan.Funeral services for Manuel will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
