Marie Cross Flint, 83 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away March 5, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born January 16, 1931 in Parkersburg daughter of the late Ray and Frances Shields Cross. She was a 1949 graduate of Parkersburg High School, had worked at G.C. Murphy and worked as a secretary for Laborers Local 1085 for 38 years. She loved country music and was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi, Gamba Lamba Chapter. She was a member of the Parkview United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She loved being with family, especially her grandchildren.Marie is survived by two sons, Daniel R. Flint and G. Douglas Flint (Sherie) both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a stepson, James Stinnet (Paula) of El Cajon, CA; two brothers, Samuel L. Cross (Rachel) of North Carolina and Raymond William Cross of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Brittany Bungard (Ryan), Jessica Maher (Anthony) both of Vienna, W.Va. and Brandon G.D. Flint of Parkersburg, W.Va.; great-granddaughter, Alexa Maher of Vienna, W.Va.; special friends, Boots Offenberger and Vonda Olson.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen M. Flint who died March 14, 2003; four brothers, Robert Cross, Paul Cross, Donald Cross and James Cross; and four sisters, Hazel Lyons Myrtle Arthur, Donna DeFreitas, and Zelma Logsdon.Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
