A Memorial Video to Lyle is now available on this site.Lyle Deem, 86, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on Sept. 11, 2014 at The Willows Rehabilitation Center.He was born May 28, 1928, in Parkersburg, the son of the late Emerson McKinley “Burgy” and Lottie May Young Deem.Lyle retired from A.B. Chance with 45 years of service in 1990. As a young man he attended Big Tygart United Methodist Church and was a member of the Pettyville United Methodist.He is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Miller Douglass (Kent) of Austin, Tex., Sue Davis (Aaron) of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and Melissa Ann Shank of Parkersburg, w.Va.; grandchildren, Gregory Douglass, Alison Hoffmann, Todd Davis, Tim Davis, Rob Shank, Adam Shank, and Sara Shank; great-grandchildren, Hunter Shank, Taylor Graham, Rhylea Graham, Brooke Davis, Jack Hoffmann, Hailey Hoffman, Trevor Douglass, Karly Douglass, Madelynn Shank, Hadley Shank, Ty Davis, Eli Davis and Nicholas Davis; one great-great-granddaughter, Stella Riffle; and a very special companion “Rowdy Dog”.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha E. Deem in 2002; and two sisters, Dorothy Deem and Beatrice Dowler.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home,2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Phillip Prunty officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
