Lorena Eleanor Kreaps

September 3, 1925 — June 7, 2012

Lorena Eleanor Kreaps, a woman who found the Lord early in her life and then walked with him for the rest of her life, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2012. She was born September 3, 1925, in Bens Run, W.Va., a daughter of the late John Robert and Luella Mae Kidder Alley.Lorena was a 1944 graduate and class valedictorian at Mingo Junction High School. Following high school, she worked at Wright-Patterson Air-Force Base in Dayton, OH. She was the secretary for several years for the Williamstown Church of Christ. She was also a homemaker. Her family and church were very important to her and she held a place in her heart for both.Her hobbies included needlepoint, gardening, and canning. She was also an active member of the 36th Street Church of Christ of Vienna. She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Norman Eugene Kreaps; three daughters, Jacqueline Faye Collier of Parkersburg, Linda Marie Blackwood (Ted) of North Canton, OH, and Kathy Ann Greene (Marvin) of Lake Park, Georgia; grandchildren, Lee Collier, Jr., Ryan Blackwood, Julie DeNoi, Chad Greene, Nathan Greene, and Amanda Doak; and his great-granddaughter, Kylie Marie Greene. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her only brother, John Robert Alley, Jr.Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with Evangelist Nathan Greene, Evangelist Ted Blackwood, and Evangelist Marvin Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3-6PM on Sunday, June 10, 2012 and one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
