Liddie Belle Ryan, 90, of Rockport, W.Va. passed to her heavenly home on Nov. 3, 2011.She was born on Feb. 21, 1921 to Luther and Lurana Prine. She was the ninth of 10 children. She was a member of the Rockport United Methodist Church until it closed. Early in life she worked at the Chancellor Hotel and later supported the WWII effort by working at Ames Shovel Plant. Towards the end of the war, she married her soldier and surviving husband of 67 years, Earl Ryan. Together they ran a country store, Ryan's Pennzoil, in Mineral Wells, W.Va. for several years.She is survived not only by her husband but their children, Barbara Casto (Roger) of Mineral Wells, w.V.a, Susan Curry (Tim), and Robert John Ryan (Janis) all of Rockport, W.Va. She was the loving grandmother, “Gert”, to eight grandchildren, Angela Blackwell (Cliff), Danielle Rinard (Chad), Michele Life (Tim), Jodi Smith (Dave), Betsy Brigner (Curtis), Ashley Curry, Jeff Ryan, and Scott Ryan (Alisha). She had 10 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, all her brothers and sisters, and one son, Steven Tom Ryan of Rockport.Funeral services conducted by Rev. Vera Archer and Rev. Everett Snyder will be Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Stree Parkersburg, W.Va. Interment will follow in Rockport Big Tygart Cemetery, Mineral Wells, W.Va. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
