Lewis Burnell Hughes

Lewis B. Hughes, 75, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away Feb. 17, 2015 at his residence after a long illness.He was born Jan. 29, 1940, in Joker, W.Va., a son of the late Leo W. and Nellie Mae Husk Hughes.Lewis was a National Guard veteran and retired from E. I. DuPont.He is survived by his wife, Rose M. Hughes; three daughters, Beverly Hughes and fiancé Dave Hubbard, of Dublin, Ohio, Regina (Russ) Hanna of Washington, W.Va. and Cynthia Hughes of Maryland; one son, Scott Hughes (Tina) of Vienna, W.Va.; a sister, Delores Davis of Parkersburg; a brother, Willis (Diane) Hughes of Vienna; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.Per Lewis' wishes there will be no visitation or services.Donations may be made in Lewis' name to the Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 98, Mineral Wells, WV26150.
