Lewis “Wayne” Bell, 71, of Parkersburg, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025. He was born April 1, 1953 in Barberton, OH, a son of the late Vernon and Oma Loretta Lanham Bell.
Wayne worked as a boilermaker for Local 667 in Winfield, WV. He was a Christian by faith and enjoyed playing gospel, bluegrass, and country music with his brothers, parents, and many friends along the way. He was a great singer and musician who touched many lives. He also loved spending time on the road riding his Harley.
Left to cherish his memory include his children, Michelle Eddy (David) of Parkersburg, John Bell of Athens, OH., and Matthew Bell (Mandy) of Walker; brothers, David Bell (Becky) and Kenneth Zack Bell (Tammy) both of Parkersburg; a sister, Robin Bell of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Jasmine Bell, Kali Bell, Devan Wilson, David Eddy, Chloe Bell, Alexis Bell, and Riley Bell; his great-grandson, Henry; and his best friend, Pete the cat.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Larry Bell.
Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., Parkersburg with Pastor Roger G. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 12 – 4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, has been entrusted with Wayne’s final wishes and is honored to serve the Bell family.
