Leonard Leroy Ward

Leonard Leroy Ward 75, of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away October 1, 2012 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.Leonard was born June 1, 1937 in Elizabeth, W.Va., a son of the late Isaac “Sherd” and Elsie Tuell Ward.He was an active member of the Riverside Church of Christ and enjoyed going to the Friendship Kitchen. He also enjoyed watching the races on TV.He is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Riser of Parkersburg, W.Va., Zelma Joy of Belpre, Ohio, and Sarah Hartshorn of Williamstown, W.Va.; one brother, Frank Ward of Williamstown, W.Va.; and several nieces, nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.The Ward family would like to thank the Rem Agency for their love and care of Leonard.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Ward; and one sister, Inez Westbrook.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va., with Mr. Bob Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown.Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 12:00 p.m. to2:00 pm Thursday prior to services at the funeral home.
