Leon Reed Eddy

Leon Reed Eddy, 84, of Charleston, W.Va. passed away at the Hubbard Hospice House on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.He was born November 29, 1929 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late William Henry and Anna Rutter Eddy.Leon was owner/operator of and retired from Eddy's Sewer and Plumbing in Charleston. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army, receiving silver and bronze stars.He is survived by one son, Aaron Dee Eddy of Crosslanes, W.Va.; two brothers, Nile Eddy and Mark Eddy; and three grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Alan Eddy; six brothers; and six sisters.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Michael Elder and Pastor Joe Ward officiating. Burial will follow with full military rites by American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg in the Lubeck Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
