Larry Joe Pettit

Larry Joe Pettit, 65, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed Friday, October 12, 2012 at Camden Clark Medical Centers-Memorial Campus.He was born May 23, 1947 in Middleport, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Avenel Hayden Pettit. Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later retired from Walmart as a stocker.Larry is survived by his wife, Teresa Puckey Pettit, a daughter Cindy Meyers and husband Tony of Pickens, SC, one stepdaughter Melissa Drain and husband Darrell, of Washington, W.Va., one stepson Dennis “Buddy” Hoosier and wife Sarah of Vienna, W.Va., six sisters, Karen Fletcher, Bessie Darst, Phyllis Hudnall, Frances Oldaker, Vanessa Crites, Tammy Woodard, and three brothers, James, Harry Ray, and Butch Pettit along with several grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Bud Corbin officiating. Full military honors by American Legion Post 15 will follow. Interment will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mineral Wells, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
