Geneva Freshour Lynn, 89 of Belpre, Ohio passed away Feb. 11, 2012 at the Arbors at Marietta.She was born April 14, 1922 in Fiveforks, Calhoun County, W.Va., daughter of the late Alvy and Lona Snyder Freshour. She was a graduate of Belpre High School. She had worked at BF Goodrich, Corning Glass and retired after 25 years of service from American Viscose/FMC. Geneva was a member of the Parkersburg B&O Veterans employee association. Geneva was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Parkersburg Chapter 14, the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and Bethany Shrine #4 of Parkersburg, W.Va. She was a member of Mullen Baptist Church in Belpre, Ohio. Mrs. Lynn is survived by her children, Diana Lynn Balderson (Jerry) of Rockport, W.Va., and Randy Lynn (Carol) of Reno, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tina Balderson Piggott of Belleville, W.Va., Olivia Lynn Kaptis, of Barlow, Ohio, Ian Lynn of Vincent, Ohio, and Joshua Hamilton of Marietta, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren, Dustin Piggott, Alexis Ellisor, Gage Kaptis, Kora Lynn, Carly Kaptis, Jack Hamilton, and Jack Lynn; and one great-great-grandson, Gavin Piggott.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Jack” Lynn; and a devoted friend Blaine Church.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Kent Lowther and Pastor Lester Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and also on Tuesday prior to services at the funeral home.
