H. Kenny “Whitie” Taggart, 72, of Little Hocking, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.He was born September 18, 1940 in Davisville, W.Va., a son of the late Harold Floyd Taggart and Violet L. Williams Conn.Kenny was retired from E.I.DuPont with over 32 years of service. He loved watching NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt and Tony Stewart, loved the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had previously coached Little League baseball. He was a member of the Little Hocking Fire Department and a member of the Coolville Masonic Lodge #337, Coolville, Ohio.Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Sharon “Suzy” Livingston Taggart; three children, Kenda S. Gibbs (Jim) of Canton, Ohio, Kenneth D. Taggart of Little Hocking, Ohio and Kevin S. Taggart (Teresa) of Centerville, Ind.; two grandchildren, Kayla Marie Valencia (Erik) of Reedsville, Ohio and Ashley Gibbs of Canton, Ohio; two step-grandchildren, Erica and Jessie of Centerville, Ind.; two great grandchildren, Shayla Gibbs and Giovozzi Valencia; and a good friend, Charles “Charlie” Randolph of Vincent, Ohio.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Craig Holler officiating. Interment will follow at the Rockland Cemetery in Belpre. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Meti Home Health for their love, kindness and support.
