Kenneth R. Hart

Kenneth R. Hart, 75, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born February 14, 1937 in Bridgeport, W.Va., a son of the late Kenneth W. and Mildred M. Keene Hart.Ken was an avid member of Parkersburg Masonic Lodge No. 3, Nemesis Shrine and the former Fort Neal Kiwanis. Ken was a member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church.Ken retired after 30 glorious years in the Wood County School system as a science teacher and Jr. High School principal.After retiring he focused his attention towards the efforts of the Nemesis Shrine and helping the Children's Hospitals. Ken also holds the honor of serving as Chaplain and Past Potentate as well as receiving his Scottish Rite 33˚.Ken enjoyed many days on his porch swing just watching the daily goings on and taking drives by the river.He is survived by his former wife, Velma Hart, and their daughter, Misty D. (William D.) Carson and grandson, William A. Carson; former wife, Loretta Gault, and their daughters, Sherry E. Coleman and Sandra D. (Wayne) Sanders and grandchildren, Noah and Caitlin Sanders; and nine step-children.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susie Hart.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio with Rev. Sandy Runnion officiating. Burial will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
