Kenneth “Ken” Ray Board, 50, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away on June 6, 2011 from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.He was born Sept. 23, 1960, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of Vonda E. Bumgarner Board and the late Harold R. Board. Ken was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a maintenance supervisor at the First Energy Corporation and attended First Baptist Church in Williamstown. He was the president of the Williamstown Football Club, part of the Williamstown Wrestling Staff and was very active in youth sports activities. He was a member of the Williamstown Masonic Lodge #129. He loved watching his boys playing sports, hunting, golfing and enjoyed attending Nascar Races.He is survived by his mother, Vonda E. Board of Parkersburg, W.Va.; his wife, Susan E. Miller Board; three sons, Jeff Board, Kevin Board and Mark Board, all of Williamstown, W.Va.; one sister, Carol (Larry) George of Parkersburg, W.Va.; mother and father-in-law, Russ and Patty Miller of Parkersburg, W.Va.; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold R. Board.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
