Kathryn “Kate” V. LaRue, 99, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away February 28, 2012 at Consulate Health Care in Melbourne, FL.She had resided in Florida with her daughter for the past six years.She was born June 1, 1912 in Wirt County, W.Va. a daughter of the late Robert B. and Eva Barnes Morrison. She was a longtime member of South Parkersburg United Methodist Church and retired from Corning Glass Works with 22 years of service.She is survived by two daughters, Frances Fought and Irene (Lionel) Gault; one step-daughter, Louise (Harvey) Morrison; one step-son, Emory “Pat” (Roseanne) LaRue; four grandchildren, Craig (Tina) Gault, Barry (Susan) Gault, Ann (Jim) Clemente, and Alfred (Gabriella) Fought; seven step-grandchildren, Connie (Carroll) Brown, Wanda (John) Mills, Harvey (Peggy) Morrison, Jeri Sheridan, Judy LaRue, Lorraine Troxal, and Patrick LaRue; and one brother, Harvey (Louise) Morrison.She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Beryl LaRue in 1975; brothers, Jack and Russell (Bryl) Morrison, a sister, Geneva “Tink” (Garnet) Knight; and a son-in-law, Alfred “Frankie” Fought.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 3 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
