Justin Arthur Williams, Jr. 77, of Belpre, Ohio passed away on November 6, 2014.He was born September 24, 1937, a son of the late Justin Arthur Williams, Sr. and Lillian Huff Williams.Justin was a 1955 graduate of Belpre High School where he played in the marching band. He retired after 26 years as a Major in the U.S. Army. He was a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne 101st, 82nd and the 18th Airborne Corps. He was in the 7th and 10th Special Forces, and was proud to wear the Green Beret. He served two terms in Viet Nam, and also served in Thailand, Germany, and the Panama Canal Zone. He was a master Parachutist HALO qualified. He was a member of the Jumping Ambassadors, the 82nd Airborne Parachute Club, and 7th Special Forces Parachute Club. Justin was a member of the VFW Post 6020 of Daleville, Alabama, the American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg, BPO Elks, and The Special Forces Association Chapter 1-18 Fayetteville, N.C.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary W. Smith Williams; two daughters, Regina M. Lawrence of Belpre, Ohio and Rhonda R. Williams of Valdez, Alaska; a son, Ralph L. Williams of Greenville, S.C.; three grandchildren, Crystal N. Richards (Timmy) of Ozark, Alabama, Ryan Williams of Parkersburg, WV., and Heath M. Lawrence of Cutler, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Dallas M. Cantrell and Maria J. Cantrell of Belpre; special family friend, Jason A. Middleton of Belpre.Justin was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lawrence “Larry” E. Williams.At Justin's request he will be cremated and there will be no visitation or service.Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Belpre is assisting the family with arrangements.
