Joyce Ellen Bateman

Joyce Ellen Bateman, 57, of Parkersburg passed away October 31, 2023 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Belpre Campus. Joyce was born April 30, 1966 in Elkins, WV a daughter of Fred Allen McDonald, Sr. and Claudette McDonald, both of Parkersburg. She attended Zion Baptist Church in Parkersburg and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Marcus McDonald of Parkersburg; two sisters, Tonia McDonald and Jessica McDonald both of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Malia, Kyia, Micah, Kiam, Jace, Kegan and Cadyn; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Allen McDonald, Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Zion Baptist Church, 8th St. Parkersburg, WV. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bateman family.
