A funeral service for Josephine Mary Tatman, 81, of Newark, Ohio, a Parkersburg native, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Centenary United Methodist Church, 102 E. Broadway, Granville, Ohio with Rev. Steve Cramer and Rev. Bob Long officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Mrs. Tatman passed away June 3, 2012 at the Inn of SharonBrooke. She was born November 14, 1930 in Mineral Wells, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Hoffman) Lambert. She was a 1948 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was proud to be a Big Red. She attended Asbury College in Wilmore, KY where she met her husband Gordon. Josephine is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Rev. Gordon Tatman; sons, Steven (Wanda) Tatman of Parkersburg, W.Va., Roger (Jenny) Tatman of West Chester, Ohio, and Mark (Karen) Tatman of Newark, Ohio; daughter, Debbie (Tim) Fulk of Crooksville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Lindsay (Zack) Pompey, Samantha (Andrew) Weiland, Justin (Kaitlyn) Tatman, Ryan Tatman, Sheri Adams, Jason (Dawn) Fulk and Erica Pettrey; nine great-grandchildren, Timmy, Owen, Jack, Josie, Lena, Dallas, Justus, Nicole and Mackenzie; sister, Anna Pepper of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Timmy Fulk; three brothers, Joseph (her twin brother), Tom and Harry Lambert Jr.; and an infant sister. Mrs. Tatman was a longtime member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and the chancel choir. She worked for Velvet Ice Cream and was the Executive Secretary from 1979-1996. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brucker-Kishler funeral home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, Ohio and Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
