Jon Mitchell Affolter,

Jon Mitchell Affolter, Sr. 58, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away September 3, 2014 at his residence.He was born in Parkersburg on August 8,1956 to C. Lyle Affolter and the late Nina Bever Affolter.Jon was a former Surveyor/Draftsman for Floyd Browne Surveying Company in Delaware, Ohio, was a member of the U.S. Navy and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Parkersburg.Jon is survived by two sons, Jason S. Affolter and Jon M. Affolter, Jr. (Camila); two sisters, Janet McIntire (Kolin) and Amy Reed (Jason); Nephews, Kaylon McIntire, Kyle Wince and Steven Wince; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother.A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Parkersburg, September 8, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.with Pastor Ian Reed officiating,a gathering with friends and family at the church following the service. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 3:00 p.m. at the church.
