John Otto Serra

John Otto Serra, 60, of Walker, W.Va., passed away on October 8, 2011 in Walker.He was born February 5, 1951, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son the late Otto and Mildred Hardman Serra.John was employed at E.I. Dupont for over 35 years as a mechanic. He was a deacon and member of Eastwood Bible Church and a lifetime member of the NRA.He is survived by his wife, Candace Scott Serra; one daughter, Elena (Charles) Boggs of Walker, W.Va.; two sisters, Mildred (Larry) Townsend of Vienna, W.Va. and Vena (Garry) Carpenter of Ellenboro, W.Va.; and three grandchildren, C. J., Kristin and Addison Boggs.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Joe Serra.Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 12, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Kanawha Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to Eastwood Bible Church, 96 Anderson Rd., Davisville, WV 26142.
