John Charles Michael Riel

John Charles Michael Riel, 22, of Mineral Wells passed away December 30, 2020. He was born June 21, 1998 in Parkersburg, son of Phillip and Kimberly Munday Riel of Mineral Wells. He worked at Simex Vinyl Extrusion. John loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, taking long drives, working on his truck and sunsets. He loved spending time with his girlfriend, Allie Moore. John was a loving and compassionate person and attended Mineral Wells Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, John is survived by a sister, Jade Riel of Mineral Wells, maternal grandmother, Kitty Munday of Elizabeth; paternal grandmother, Kathaleen Riel of Parkersburg; his cat “Peaches” who he rescued; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles W. Munday; and paternal grandfather, John L. Riel. A private family service will be held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells, WV.
