John Michael Williamson

John Michael Williamson, 65 of Parkersburg passed away May 29, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 9, 1947 in St. Mary's, W.Va. son of the late Edward and Geraldine Hoce Williamson. He was a 1965 graduate of St. Mary's High School, received an Associates degree in drafting from Parkersburg Community College, and was a member of the Painter's Union #1144. John was a member of the 1st Assembly of God in Marrtown, W.Va. where he was a member of the Royal Rangers. He was a drummer in several bands in the past and enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. He is survived by three sons, Robert Daniel Williamson of Vienna, David Williamson of Athens, Ohio, and Luke Williamson of Vienna; the mother of his sons, Sharon Curfman; and close friends, Don Sims and Judy Taylor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Robert and Dora Pryor. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
