John R. Flesher, 87, of Vienna, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1933, in Vienna, a son of the late Everett Cecil and Grace Darling Huffman Flesher. John was a 1952 graduate of Parkersburg High School, a U.S. Army Veteran and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years. He enjoyed wood working, gardening and enjoyed working on his 1949 Ford F4 truck. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Holbert (Mike) and Kellie Davis all of Vienna; two sisters, Mary Hess (Bob) of Strongsville, OH and Glenna Early of Bluefield, WV; one brother, Max Flesher (Geneva) of Reedy, WV; five grandchildren, John Mooney (Alison), Sasha Wilson (Kevin), Chandlier Davis (Chelsea), Annastasia Beal (Spencer) and Sean Gearhart; eight great-grandchildren; his caregiver, Morgan Seawell; and remembered by his former wife, Ethel Flesher Harris, the love of his life. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Katrina Mooney; and his brother, Cecil Flesher. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
