John Barber

John “Scott” Barber, age 66, of Washington, WV, passed away December 17, 2010 at his residence.He was born December 28, 1943 in Parkersburg a son of the late Ernest and Elsie Meredith Barber.Scott was a 1962 graduate of Parkersburg High School, had served with the 1092 Army National Guard, belonged to the Masons, was retired from E. I. Dupont as a mechanic and enjoyed the outdoors and Gunsmith work.He is survived by two sons, Jeff ( Jeanna) Barber of Parkersburg, W.Va., and John ( Nichole) Barber of Nicholasville, KY.; one daughter, Rebecca Barber of Georgetown, KY; and four grandchildren, Haley, Cameron, Alli and Hayden Barber.Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Richard Barber and one sister Virginia Ann Barber.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday December 21, 2010 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg. Burial will follow at the Lubeck Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday December 20, 2010, at the funeral home.
