Joese B. Cunningham Corey, 74, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on Sept. 21, 2014 at The Willows Center.She was born Sept. 11, 1940, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles and Sylvia Thornton Burchard.Joese enjoyed gardening, was a homemaker and a member of Grace Gospel Church. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Thornton (Larry) of Fort Myers, Fla.; her son, Edward Cunningham (Judy) of Harrisville, W.Va.; one brother, Howard Burchard (Shirley) of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Jaime Schriver (Steve) of Harrisville, Eddie Cunningham (Annie) of Winfield, W.Va., and Jesse Thornton of Huntington, W.Va.; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Dennis Cunningham; her second husband, Robert Corey; two sons, Arnold J. Cunningham and Robert Lee Burchard; three brothers, Paul, Charles and Russell Burchard; and two sisters, Mary Lou Devaughn and Pauline Petty.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Roger Benson officiating. Interment will follow at Cairo Masonic Cemetery in Cairo, W.Va.Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
